As a Christian community we believe that God has instituted marriage
for mutual love support and care of husband and wife, based on the
love of Jesus shown to his bride the church.
For any couple seeking marriage at St Anne's they need in the first
instance to contact the vicar at the normal office hour (Monday 7 pm
till 7:30 pm).
The couple will meet the vicar several times in preparation for their
marriage and will be encouraged to explore;
future commitment to each other in a personal and spiritual way so
they can face all that their married life may encounter
Outline of process
1. Couple meet vicar at office hour, paperwork started and date for
2. Couple meet with vicar as part of the marriage preparation
3.No more than 3 months before wedding the banns are read at St
Anne's and the parish of residence
4. Wedding rehearsal takes place during the week before the wedding date,
final arrangements and fees paid (currently £434 at St Anne)
Marriage of Divorcees
